2013 Review, 2014 Goals

Hello there! Hope you all had a very nice and relaxing holiday season and that your new year started very well! πŸ™‚ Let’s wish 2014 will be a much better year for everyone!

Β  For me 2013 was a very slow year in terms of photographic progress. Since i had to leave Thessaloniki and return to my parents house, with no job and no money to travel, i mostly re-worked old photos. In August i started this blog, to share my work with you and i’m very happy that i did that. Maybe 2013 was not a great year in terms of work and career progress but it was a year that really tested my patience, my self-control, my determination and my discipline. I worked a lot on self improvement as i am a firm believer that we need to evolve, we need to push ourselves in order to be ready for greatness. And don’t get me wrong “greatness” can be something very different for each of us…

Let’s see some of 2013’s highlights

2014 Goals

  • Move out of my parents house (obviously number 1 priority)
  • Move to Austria and find a job or win the Lottery so i can stay 6 months in Austria and 6 in Greece ( A girl can dream)
  • Get a drivers license so i can have the freedom to roam around wherever i want
  • Support and promote my work more
  • Manage my time better = Work harder
  • Take more photos (so i can start making more posts again)
  • Make more videos
  • Kick some ass!!! πŸ™‚

Β  Overall i’m very grateful for all the experiences in my life. I’ve been really lucky to have met people who believe and support my work and i’m really grateful for that. I’m feeling very positive about the future, no matter what 2014 brings be strong and make the best out of each situation! May you all have a happy and creative 2014!

  1. Somehow I must’ve missed the hairstyle collection shoot. It looks great. As far as I love your urban photography, you’re also great at portraying colorful human beings.

    1. Aw, thank you for your kind comment! πŸ™‚ I never actually uploaded any photos from that photoshoot, i just shared the link on facebook…I generally don’t upload photos from my work, maybe i should…i don’t know…so far i uploaded mainly my personal projects…But i’ve done quite a few other photoshoots that i didn’t share…

  2. I have every confidence in you for not only attaining your stated goals, but for going way beyond what you might expect to do – you have the right mixture of talent, charm and drive folded together with the fair amount of self-doubt that is necessary for you to excel and not become complacent. Best to you in 2014 as well!

    1. Thank you Robert, this all means a lot to me πŸ™‚ 5 years ago i wouldn’t have said those things, you could say i expected everything to come to me without me really trying or maybe, i was just too young and careless…But i’m really grateful for everything that has happened in my life and especially that i didn’t get anything for free after all. All this negative situation in Greece, my struggle the past 3 years to find a job and support my life in the city, the failure, the coming back to my parents, it just made me realize that i have to fight for what i want in my life. It made me realize what i really want and what i crave as person and as an artist. Seeing all those miserable young people around me with no aspirations and no care about their future, just made me see that i’m not one of them. I do want a better future and i’ll do everything i can in order to make it happen, i won’t just sit around and wait for opportunity to knock my door! πŸ™‚ And i feel really blessed because every step i took in that direction had already a very positive impact, so i feel like i’m on the right way πŸ˜€

      1. Yes, you have to be proactive – nobody will care for you if you do not care for yourself. Glad to hear you are confident about your future. If you ever need to talk things through when the going gets tough – just drop a me an email. Hang in there my friend!

    1. Thank you so much Stefan πŸ˜€ I will certainly try to keep up and have a strong presence in 2014, no matter what it brings me πŸ˜‰ All my best wishes for a great new year to you and your loved ones!
Many greetings from the almost spring-like Greece (we had 16c today…)!!! πŸ˜€
