Hello my dear friends,
Β Here i am again, i know my absence was too long and i’m really sorry for that. Reason is, i just moved to a new neighborhood in Vienna. My previous residence was only temporary and i had to move out by the end of October. The stress i was under was really big cause it seemed impossible to find something affordable, with roommates that we would get along and in such a short period of time. It literally happened the very last day…just when i was ready to give up and think that maybe Vienna was not meant to be. Now i’m staying in a really big but also super affordable apartment with 2 really cool and creative roommates, in the center of the city, still close to nature and the river, what more could i ask for? π
Β It’s now time to focus on my blog, my photography and reconnect with all the friends that i missed dearly. Thank you all for staying with me and being patient with my prolonged disappearances!
Here is a little taste of my new neighborhood:

Good to see you back! Loooove that colourful fourth image π
Thank you Sue! It’s great to be back! I have a lot of catching up to do π That colourful building is the Hundertwasser Haus…One of the most visited places in Vienna! I will be making a more extensive feature about it soon π
Look forward to reading….
Hi! I also moved (very far) and also found something the last minute! But what matters that it happened, right? π Cheers
Hello Monika! π Where did you move? Yes, all that matters is that we found something, even if it was at the last minute! I hope you are happy with your new place π Cheers!
Hello as well π Yes in fact the struggle makes it appreciating even more π I moved to the Gorgeous South of France but Austria of course is very gorge too! Hope we (both) find what we’re looking for. (I will migrate to WP so soon will be following/communicating from there.) Cheers ~
π Exactly! South of France sounds fantastic! Be sure to take lots of photos there for us to enjoy as well! Also great news about you joining the WP community, looking forward to that! π
Thank you, I appreciate it! Danke π
Yes, I think as you say WP has a community which other platforms do not seem to have. Bis bald π
I love your new neighbourhood (not that it’s any difficult)… but I’m very fond of the Hundertwasserhaus. I’d really love to be invited inside one the apartments!
π Hello Lia! I love it as well!!! When i came to the interview for the apartment it was the first time that i saw the Hundertwasserhaus and i just said “ok this is definitely my neighborhood!” and i was lucky enough to be chosen by my roommates! Now i see it everyday since i literally live next to it π I think there are guided tours through some of the apartments but most are off limits cause people actually live there… No matter how cool this house is, i wouldn’t want to live in here… You should see how many tourists are there at all times…You would feel like your life is in public display π
Yep! We were two of them trying not to annoy the residents too much. Still, I felt somewhat sorry for those whose windows look to the front. It’s like living with paparazzi every day! For the rest, especially kids, must be like living in a playground. π
Congratulations on the apartment find! Looks like a very interesting neighborhood. Glad to have you back.
Thank you Robert! π It is great to feel that i finally have some stability and that i can focus on other things as well π I have taken a ton of photos, so i need to make some new posts to compensate for my disappearance. And again i have a lot of catching up to do π
Great news on the apartment Alex…Well done, it must be a huge relief.
AND I’m another sucker for the Hundertwasserhaus..SEHR FANTASTISCH!! Are those trees on the top?
π The trees are on a low side balcony but there are also trees on the top, unfortunately all leaves have fallen now. The 2 identical photos were taken with 3 days difference… I will spend quite a lot time trying to make a feature about the Hundertwasserhaus. It’s a hard place to photograph since it’s always very crowded outside…but since i live right next to it i can sleepwalk my way there at 5:00am in the morning and enjoy the first light alone (hopefully)…
5.00 am !!!! AAAaaaaaaaghHH!
Now that would be dedication……
How about low asa and tiny f-stop for a long exposure?…Those crowds might just disappear.
Hi Alex! After reading all these comments I can tell you are happy to be home. I can’ talk now but I will soon. Please be safe and take care_____________-duckie
Hello my dear Duckie! It’s really nice to hear from you again! I hope you are doing well too and i’m looking forward to hear your news when you have some time! My best regards to you and many greetings from the beautiful Vienna! π
