if you haven’t been, the park around the Prater-Hauptallee is definitely worth a visit. Very beautiful nature and it is huge!!! Seriously, I’ve lived in Vienna for 3 years now, I’ve visited this area more than 20 times and I still can’t say I’ve been to every corner of this park! Need to put this in my goals list for 2018 😉
autumn might be already over, I had the feeling that it was really short this year, did you also think so?
Well, since I’m not a Christmas fan and Vienna with all the glitter and decorations doesn’t inspire me I’ll be posting some autumn photos for the next days, I hope you don’t mind! We can actually use some color right now when nature is muted and dark, unless of course it snows…then it’s another story 😉
When you think about Vienna, you think classic and romantic but Vienna is making a move towards the new era. Skyscrapers and modern glass buildings are making their presence known in the Vienna skyline and i think they blend rather well with the rest of the environment.
The Uniqa Tower was build in a little less than 3 years (October 2001 – June 2004) by the architect Heinz Neumann. It’s not one of the highest buildings, at 75meters it ranks number 28 in the list but i still think it’s quite impressive. We will visit many, if not all of the top ranked buildings in the Vienna highest list in future posts. I cannot lie, i’m a sucker when it comes to shiny reflecting things! 😀
It’s no wonder how this place got its name…The beautiful emerald waters of the lake offer a refreshing and relaxing experience to any visitor. People from Thessaloniki often choose Skra for a quick getaway, since it’s not very far by car. During my short visit last year, i took a ton of photos and at the moment i’m editing a generous selection of photos to make a nice feature post about this little paradise. Stay tuned 😉
