Signs of spring all around the Danube Island! 🌼🌼🌼 Countless flowers decorate the saturated green meadows waiting for the sun to shine ☀ Nature is blooming everywhere…
Thousands of hungry caterpillars, waiting anxiously to transform and live a new life. Life is moving fast, evolving, it would be insane to stay the same. Take a deep breath and embrace change, let your wings grow and fly high! 😀 Wishing you all an awesome week! ♥
The Danube island is a little paradise in the middle of Vienna. It’s perfect for long bike rides, picnics, swimming or just sunbathing and from what i’ve seen also for fishing. I really love all the little floating fishing-boat-houses that can be found all along the shores of the Danube river. This one is equipped and ready for some serious grilling sessions under the warm summer sun. Not much of a sun in this photo but it’s coming! 😀
Here they are, the two tallest buildings of Vienna in one photo! 🙂 Donauturm (252meters) on the center of the photo and the DC Tower 1 (250meters with the antenna included) on the right. The Danube island offers a great panoramic view to some great architectural marvels but it’s also a unique place for nature lovers as you will discover on my next posts 😉
Have a great week my friends and don’t forget your comments are always welcome! Cheers!

Continuing our walk on the Danube Island, we get to have a nice view of the second tallest building in Vienna. The DC Tower 1, is quite a fresh addition to the city’s skyline, having been completed in the summer of 2013. The DC Tower is 220 meters high, 250 meters if you include the antenna on top of it and thus almost touching the first place of the tallest buildings list. However, Donauturm at 252 meters height, refuses to come second to a cheating building and comfortably enjoys its first place! 😛
Standing on the same road, the view behind my back looks like that…An uphill road that invites you to go deeper exploring what this little magical island has to offer… Stay tuned 😉
V-Light is back! I hope you missed me cause you are gonna be served many new photos in the next days 😀 Why the long absence you may ask?…Well, i needed some time in my cocoon to be nurtured and grow into the artistic butterfly you all know me to be! Haha 😛 While in my cocoon, i still walked around every day (wait cocoons can walk? o_O ), many times for more than 3-4 hours, i covered many kilometers, absorbed so much beauty in vision and in sound. But hey, spring is here, so the smell ain’t so bad either! Everything is in bloom, vibrant colors, crazy people, wicked smiles…and the mood to kick ass is back again!
This might not be a very “springy” photo but that’s what i love about this season, the contrast! So i’ve been visiting the island in the middle of the Danube river, almost every day! It’s really a great place, so much nature, so much green and water all around! As an Aquarius myself, i love water, i crave to be near water, so it’s been a very healing experience as well. Batteries are fully charged and i’m ready to make my comeback to the oh so demanding online world! Hope you all have been doing great and enjoying spring wherever you are 😀 V-Light out! ♥

I was just outside trying to find something interesting to shoot and i ended up taking loads of photos of blossoms, spiders and butterflies 😛 That’s all there is around my house. For some reason when i took this photo i automatically envisioned it to have kind of a vintage look so i started playing around with Analog Efex Pro. If you don’t know it, Analog Efex Pro is a Photoshop plugin that simulates different styles and effects of analog photography. I love the Nik Software suite but i still don’t know how i feel about this particular plugin, which is the latest addition in the suite. I have worked with film and slides in the past, did a lot of darkroom developing and printing so i can’t really see how this plugin is supposed to give an analog feeling. Maybe this photo is not the best example but i would like to know your opinion! Have you even tried this plugin? Which plugin would you recommend for making digital photos look like they were taken with a film camera?
